The Bigfoot Chronicles Movie Has Been Released Again!
The original Bigfoot Chronicles movie has been re-released under the title of We Found Bigfoot.
Here’s why: When we first released the movie it was released through a major distributor called Millennium Films. They changed their name to Our Alchemy Films right after we signed with them. Bigfoot Chronicles was on the market for two months and it was playing on all kinds of platforms including DVD distribution through Walmart and others. It was, in my opinion, a big hit. Gross sales were approaching a half million dollars and everything looked rosy. And, then crickets.
I heard nothing from nobody. My phone calls were not being returned and there was no communication from nobody. It took three months before I would find out that the distributor had declared bankruptcy.
Any money that was due me, was gone but that wasn’t the worst of it. My rights to the movie were taken over by the court because they were considered to have value and the creditors of the distributor had first rights. But I was soon to find out that that wasn’t the worst of it.
It took over five years for me to, once again, own the movie that I paid to produce. But it wasn’t over then either. With the rights returned to me by court order, I couldn’t locate the master of the film. I spend six months trying to track it down without success. It must be in master heaven.
This was in 2020 and as I saw it, I had two choices: Forget it or take the footage and make a new movie. So, since I had so much money tied up in the movie and since so many people told me how much they enjoyed it, I decided to hire a new editing team to make the movie again. We added new footage, narration, and the name We Found Bigfoot, and on October 30, 2023, it was released for a new crowd to watch.
